2nd Blog Anniversary (give away!)

It's been two years today since I wrote my first blog entry. What a great two blogging years it has been! I've reconnected with family and old friends and made new ones along the way. Thank you all for your comments--every single one has been appreciated. It is very motivating to me to write my family history via a blog because I know that people will read it now and make comments every now and again. I am also motivated by the thought that some day my children will be grown and they can get on my blog from anywhere and read family stories and read of my testimony--that has become increasingly important to me. I don't think that I would have ever arrived at my second motivation without all of you helping me along with the first. So THANK YOU!

In attempt to say thank you to all of you for your friendships and for sharing your lives with me via your blogs or emails, I'm having a little give-away. Next Sunday I will put all of my commentor's names (on this post) in for a drawing for a little handmade something from me. I've got two options to choose from.

One: A FHE or job chart. This would be custom made with names, tasks and colors just for you. If you want magnets on the back so you can keep it on the fridge, I will add those too. Two: A 12x12 painted canvas. It can be a text only painting or you can risk my much-to-be-desired-painting skills on it also. This will also be custom made with text and colors of your choice. (for ideas see here and here)So if you're a regular commenter or not, I'd love to send you a custom made item from me. (If you've never left me a comment before, I'll put your name in twice for the drawing just for saying hi.) Thank you so much for visiting me in my little corner on the web.

PS. . .I've also added a little poll on the side bar that I'd love to hear your input. While this blog is mostly for my family, I also like to post things that benefit others here too. So if you would like to make some selections on that, I'd appreciate it.

You are such an amazing person. I'm glad that I've gotten to know you a little bit better through blogging. I'd love the cute family home evening chart because I don't have one and I'm in that Momma stage right now (once a Mom always a Mom. Am I right, or am I right?).

Oh, Darcee,
Once again you amaze me. I was just talking to your mother last week about you and how creative you are. I've told you before how your blogs inspire me. I love the canvas art - so darling.

See my hand? It's high in the air saying, "Pick me, pick me!" just like a student in a classroom who really, really wants to say the answer! (or get chosen for cute painting)

Love your new logo!

I really enjoy reading your blog and learning about you, your family, your inspirations, your thoughts, and your struggles. Thanks for sharing all that with us!

Crossing my fingers!

Thanks for introducing me to the fun world of blogging. You are the one who inspired me to give it a try and I am so glad that I have. I have loved getting to reconnect with family and friends.

P.S. I hope your daughters hand gets better soon. My Cody pulled an iron on his foot when he was 8 months and so I know a little of what you are going through. If it doesn't start healing well, you can get an ointment from the doctor that dries the wound very quickly. Hang in there, you are an awesome mommy!

Blogging seems like such a win-win situation. You say you love blogging and all that it means. We say we love that you blog because we gain so very much from you. I'm glad we have this virtual relationship because it's so hard to get together in person sometimes! And how cool would it be to daily see one of your works of art too! Happy second anniversary!!!

I love reading your blog! It has helped put things into perspective for me at struggling times! I've always looked up to you and your sisters when I was younger and I have enjoyed having a window into your life and heart! Thank you for letting me get to know you better! You amaze me with all that you do and for who you work to become! Thank you for your example Darcee!

Darcee, you are always an inspiration to me, and such a supportive friend. Thank you for being my friend. I love following your blog and knowing what's happening with your girls/kids; it makes me feel a bit more connected to you.

I loved your day-in-pictures. (And I know who it was that was getting their PF merit badge signed!) Your boys were troopers, and I'm glad you got several pics of yourself as well.

I worry sometimes that I might be getting obnoxious and try not to comment too much. I feel things strongly. Your blog is missionary work. The very best kind...showing the light and happiness that comes from trusting in the Lord. When we quit worrying about putting ourselves "out there" too much (and we share in humility and with sincere love), miracles can happen. I know that to be true. So thank you for sharing your heart with everyone.

Oh, and I voted for all 4!

Darcee--
Is there anything you don't do? You are an amazing example to all who come in contact with you. I am so thankful to be one of those people that are blessed to have you, your live's perspectives, your creativity, (and the list goes on)in my life. I hope this 2 year anniversary is only one of many. Thanks for sharing and inspiring me.

I couldn't choose from your poll options -- I love your blog because it is a mix of all of it! I feel uplifted & good after I read, whether it's a recipe, your day, or a spiritual insight. Thank you!

BTW, I still use the job chart you made for me when Cache was doing his business for Scouts. The funny thing is the colors go great with my new kitchen; totally by accident. I love it!
