Dear Ward Members. . .

I'm sorry that previous to yesterday I hadn't discussed with Tess that playing hide and go seek in Sacrament meeting is inappropriate. I'm sorry that I was occupied in my own thoughts that when she ducked her head on the back of the bench and started counting. . . one, two, three, four, five. . . . I did not anticipate the "ready or not, here my come" or the popping up and shouting "My found you!"

Then I'm sorry that I giggled. I promise, I have the highest respect for the sacrament and don't want to disturb it for anyone.

Maybe I can blame it on our cute neighbor boys sitting behind us who are so nice to let Tess come and play in their back yard that she thought it was playtime again. Or maybe it was because she couldn't resist that all 5 of them were dressed in coordinating green. . .oh wait, they're always so cute and coordinated! Or maybe I just need to take responsibility and work harder at keeping that girl reverent. . . . Dear ward members, we'll try harder.

I'd say that's really minor to what my kids do. At least the people behind you were entertained.

Well, Christina, if this were the sum of sacrament meeting moments, I could maybe feel good about myself, but this truly was just a record keeping post. . .one 'cute' incident that I might want to retell at some future date so it gets written about.

And I've never had two at this age so my imagination probably doesn't do the reality justice. I honestly don't know how parents of twins attend sacrament meeting at all. Surely their antics give you more fodder than you ever wished for!

Love it! I have memories like that - oh yeah, they're not over yet...

oh darcee, if I started telling you stories about Mark in sacrament meeting you'd be grateful for the "cute" things that Tess is doing.

I think Sacrament meeting is like the rest of life; that is, God intends for it to be joyful. You'll have plenty of opportunities to teach her all about appropriateness, but for now, I love the joy. You and your children are great.

I'm sorry I missed it! I am sure the humor of the situation was appreciated, especially by all of those with young children, or those who can remember when theirs were that age. Please invite Emma over while you teach Tess the importance of reverence. She could use a few lessons as well.
