{As you can tell I'm playing catch up.}
Cache and Tom go home teaching to a cute little family and a couple of months ago the Allreds served them some Brazilian Lemonade. Cache loved it and has been wanting to make it since. So on conference weekend Tom told everyone to choose a food they wanted to make and we would have it. Here was our menu:
Cache: Brazilian Lemonade (I call it Brazilian Limeade :). We changed it up to taste after following the basic recipe. It was way yummy!

What a fun idea! Let me know when you have your next one and I will come and my choice would be steak!
This is such a fun idea. What is in the Brazilian Lemonade?
Kelsie, Follow the link and it will take you to a recipe. We ended up adding more lime juice for flavor and sweetened condensed milk to make it creamier.
Aunt Nancy, you're welcome to come, I imagine conference weekend in April is next on the list :).
Good idea! Atleast then you know everyone will eat one thing!
I'm with Chandler! Twix is my favorite! Everything else looks good too.
Where's the caramel roll recipe? Or are they ala Rhodes? They look delicious.
Hello!
I'll surprise you! Nancy just came to spend the day with me (how lucky can one be.. I always enjoy company! She is teaching me how to make comments and also how to find all these things from my grand-children! Guess it's never too late to teach "an old dog" new tricks. I do use my computer quite a bit but after today, it will get used even more!

I got the caramel roll recipe from Betty Crocker cook book, but I use a different dough recipe since I have one I like better for my bread machine, but you could also use Rhodes. So however you want to get dough, get it. Roll it out, spread some butter on and fill with
1/2 cup chopped pecans or raisins, if desired.
1/4 cup brown sugar
1 tsp cinnamon
Caramel Topping:
Melt 1/2 c butter
Add 1 cup brown sugar. Cook til boiling, stirring constantly. Then add 1/4 cup corn syrup.
Pour the topping in a 9x13 pan and sprinkle with 1 cup pecans. Place your cut rolls on top of the caramel sauce. Bake as recommended for dough (about 20-30 mins @350). After baking, let stand for 2-3 minutes then invert onto a cookie sheet. Let the caramel sauce drip down onto the rolls for about a minute before removing the 9x13 pan. It says serve warm, but I like mine completely cooled. It's up to you!
What a great Idea! Everything looks yummy. We just had leftovers and stuff out of the freezer. It was dissapointing I felt like I needed to do something special or fun for the occasion...Next time!
Sounds fun! Thanks for always sharing fun ideas!
