Activities with Cache

My sister-in-law, Christine, recommended that each family member do something special with Cache before his mission.  We thought it was a good idea.  Unfortunately, I only remembered to send the camera on one outing.  :(

Tom and I took him to Salt Lake City to Faustina for lunch.  We love that restaurant!  Then we went on a used book store tour.  Out of all that we went to, we all loved Ken Sander's Rare and Used Books.  Cache is quite the book collector so he definitely will be going back at some point.

Caleb chose to have Cache take him shopping for school clothes.  It is early in the summer, but he values Cache's taste and opinion.  However, they couldn't find much of anything so it ended up just being a fun hang-out time at the mall.  (And now that Caleb was the recipient of most of Cache's clothes, no more shopping trips are going to be needed!)

Chandler wanted to go rock climbing at the Quarry, but the night before we realized that Chandler wouldn't be able to belay Cache so only Chandler would be able to climb.  So he chose an alternate activity.  He chose to play soccer, go to California Pizza Kitchen then to Barnes and Noble to browse books.

Tessa wanted to go to Kangaroo Zoo and then to McDonald's.  It wasn't a highly interactive activity for them since Cache didn't pay to play at Kangaroo Zoo, but apparently it didn't bother Tess any.  She just loves to jump, climb and bounce--no playmate needed.

Greta wanted to go to 'Fa-Fa' (Trafalga) and out for ice cream.  She said that she rode the air planes, Frog Hopper and Tidal Wave, they also played miniature golf with a pink ball and pink putter.  Afterward, they went to U-Swirl.

I don't know how much Cache enjoyed each activity, but it has been fun for the rest of us!  We are thankful for the memories.
