Last night our stake had a kick off for the Youth Conference that starts this week. Alex Boye was one of the speakers. One of the things he said that stuck with me was how there is opposition in all things. Then he used the scripture in D&C 25:12 that says: "For my soul adelighteth in the bsong of the cheart; yea, thedsong of the righteous is a prayer unto me, and it shall be answered with a blessing upon their heads." Then he turned it around to mean the opposite--as if Satan were speaking: "For my soul delighteth in the song of the selfish (or some word that could be opposite of heart); yea, the song of the wicked is a prayer unto me, and it shall be answered with a curse upon their heads." He said that when he goes to prisons to give presentations he can pin point what crime each person committed to be in prison by asking them about the music they listen to. And he says he is always right. He can tell from music if they have murdered, raped, stolen etc. Pretty deep food for thought.

He was a great speaker, wasn't he? I will never hear "How Great Thou Art" without thinking of his performance for us last night. I loved, loved, loved listening to his talk.
