Chandler and I had everything weed free the day before we left for a little get away, but the weed fairy must have paid us a lengthy visit while we were gone. The garden was plastered with weeds. This morning we were out there again tackling them. Tess came out and climbed on my back while I worked. Honestly, it's not the most comfortable thing to weed with a child on your back, especially a very wiggly one. But I decided to enjoy it instead of focusing on the discomfort. How lucky I am that she loves me! And her zest for life is delightful. And so is her chatter. I'm lucky to be her mom. I was also thankful for the ability to work and to have a garden to weed. We are not very good gardeners, but it does provide meaningful work for us and we do enjoy the little produce we get from it. And I'm thankful for a good little weeder (Chandler) who works along side of me. I enjoy his company. The two other boys take care of the other yard work on Wednesdays. Love that too!

Enjoying the weeds!
PS. . .we are in the process of painting our fence. There will be a number of post about that project in the future.

Love this picture! You are a VERY patient mom. By the way... the fence would make an amazing background for kids pictures before you paint it. :)
