I came home and found the nativity like this. . .notice the 'extras' adoring. (and yes, Mary is missing. . .Tessa has carried her to some unfindable spot.)
When I was young, we added a hippo to our nativity. We actually made a wire halo for it and called it our holy hippo. A couple of years ago, my mom gave each of us a small plastic hippo to add to our individual family scenes. I haven't added it yet, but it does still make me smile. And good luck with finding Mary.
My brothers and sisters, we are surrounded by those in need of our attention, our encouragement, our support, our comfort, our kindness—be they family members, friends, acquaintances, or strangers. We are the Lord’s hands here upon the earth, with the mandate to serve and to lift His children. He is dependent upon each of us.
Richard G. Scott
Your agency, the right to make choices, is not given so that you can get what you want. This divine gift is provided so that you will choose what your Father in Heaven wants for you. That way He can lead you to become all that He intends you to be. That path leads to glorious joy and happiness.

So sweet. Love the ducks. I took a picture of my Mary's arranging of our nativity. I need to post it pronto.

I especially like the dolphin.
It looks like she has the right idea. The duck seems much larger than the shepherds.
