If you had your choice, which would you choose? Today is my 4th anniversary and one of the things Tom got me is a nice box of chocolates. (From See's) He said, "I thought about getting you flowers, but thought you'd like chocolates better." And he was right. I'd much rather have a box of chocolates (but it has to be a good one) than flowers. Am I weird? Which would you choose?

I am with you on that one. Flowers die! Chocolates stay with you forever!
Aunt Nancy
well, I have to say I would choose flowers. I know they die, but there is nothing I'd rather get than a beautiful bouquet of flowers.
Aunt Kaye
Well if I can't have both I would choose chocolate hands down. I agree with you that they have to be the good ones though.
Chocolate for sure!
I think I would choose flowers! I love the brightness they add to a room! AND you can always dry the flowers!
I agree with all that Kendi said above. Flowers for me please. In fact, I don't think my husband has ever given me a box of chocolates as a gift. He makes all of our holiday chocolates though so in a way, that's my chocolate gift and I look forward to those every year.
Today's my anniversary (14 years, can you believe it?) and I'm expecting chocolates. For years I got flowers because that's what David prefers but I think he knows now about my sweet tooth. However, when I was pregnant with Sarah, I told him, "NO MORE CHOCOLATES!" because I was worried about gaining too much weight. So maybe he hasn't shifted his thinking back yet. We'll see ...
I thought I'd report back since I'm sure you are dying to know what I got ... Yeah, so I got flowers and circus peanuts!!! LOL about the circus peanuts! David knows I like them because they remind me of Dad's secretary, Darlene. I loved her so I love them (even though my head tells me they are gross, my heart tells me they heavenly!) I told David about your post and my response and we got a good laugh. He said, "All I can say is that I try!"
Both! For Valentines day Dennis gives me a mini rose plant that I can put in my flower bed. Love them! Fresh flowers might be nice too... He also buys me Ghirardelli mint chocolates everytime we go to Rexburg for a cancer thing. A spoonful of sugar helps the medicine go down!
