I just finished listening to this talk by Sister Bonnie Parkin on Personal Ministry. She tells some wonderful stories of apostles and prophets personally ministering to people. She also talks about each of us having a personal mission to reach and touch people. If you were motivated to make a difference by sending cards (either mine or your own) I recommend that you listen to or read it. The above link is only audio for the computer but you can download it to your mp3 or read it, but there is not a web link for those (that I could find). To find it, go here and type in "Personal Ministry" and it should come up. Then you can choose the option that is best for you. Prepare to be inspired! It is such a good talk.

Thanks, Darcee. I listened to this this morning and loved it! I think of Elder Maxwell all the time and so when she told the 1st story about him I wondered if he still doesn't carry on his personal ministry from the spirit world. Just a thought. Still, I gain strength from him. Sometimes when I look in the mirror, I imagine how much courage it took for him to stand up in General Conference with little to no hair. And he made light of it, "my altering conference hair style", he called it.
Anyway, the talk was awesome and I have been thinking about it all day.
